Zenfreed, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the Agency Services Application Development and Support team in Michigan. The role focuses on maintenance of multiple applications for MDCR, MCSC, and MiLEAP, while leading requirements gathering and coordinating with stakeholders across projects.

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to assist with the Agency Services Application Development and Support team who supports multiple applications for Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR), Michigan Civil Service Commission (MCSC), and Michigan Lifelong Education Advancement and Potential (MiLEAP). This role would consist of supporting maintenance activities for applications as well as multiple larger projects with a main focus on MiLEAP. We are looking for someone who understands and has experience with the software development lifecycle as they will be managing work requests to support operational support needs for web applications and gather requirements for project initiatives. This role is the liaison between the technical team and the business partners. This is a senior position, the selected candidate must possess strong leadership skills including delegation, effective communication, effective requirement gathering, and the ability to lead meetings with stakeholders and other technical resources.

Job Duties

• Facilitates meetings with the technical team and business client.
• Gathers requirements and project specifications by leading requirement sessions independently
• Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication between business product owner and development team associated with the Change Management lifecycle
• Provide management with information such as project status reports and resource demand projections.
• Maintain backlog of work items & track sprints and ticket progress in Azure DevOps
• Ensures the team is adhering to the department change management policies
• Maintains documentation on the project SharePoint Site.
• Must be detail oriented and a critical thinker
• Working with vendors and other stakeholders
• Gather complex new application requirements for RFPs

Requirements

5+ years:

• Exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years

3+ years:

• Experience working as a liaison between the development team and project manager or business client in a software development project
• Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years
• Ability to lead meetings, conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations

1+ years:

• Experience with Azure DevOps

Desired Skills

2+ years:

• Knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

6+ months:

• Project management skills and knowledge in project management and related methodologies
• Experience with Salesforce Platform
• Bachelor's Degree

Location

• Local candidates ONLY. Candidates must be located within 90 miles of Lansing, MI at time of submission.
• Positionis a hybrid schedule withNO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Mondays and Tuesdays onsite.
• Working hoursMonday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to5:00 p.m.
