Title: Business Analyst

Location: US-CA-Pleasanton ( 3 days in Office and 2 days Remote)

Length of Contract: 12 months +

The Business Analyst - Device Software will be responsible for managing of Software requirements for medical devices. It includes gathering, documenting, visualizing, explaining, reviewing and releasing activities within the a Project Lifecycle. The Business Analyst - Device Software will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering teams including system, software, electrical, and mechanical design engineers, and other functions to ensure highest quality for class II medical devices.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is energetic, has a make it happen in a compliant way attitude and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Help identify business needs and issues, and conceptualize potential resolutions
• Write Software Requirements and Design Specifications
• Define Configurations of Systems
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to develop new and update existing product features and functionalities
• Source, manipulate, and transform datasets to provide insightful analysis
• Track update documentation status and provide updates to the management
• Define, design, and document Software functionality flows on various sized projects
• Review and update Use Cases according to the decided approach
• Define and articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency
• Identify between requirements and design and resolve the issues
• Act as the primary contact for the Software requirements management between SW Testing, SW Development and the business teams
• Identify, analyze, propose and document appropriate solutions for problems and issues that may impact the project
• Contribute to new product development in tandem with data analysts and software developers
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions or teams
• Prepare documents for review, organize reviews and route documents for approval
• Provide cross-functional and system knowledge to develop system
• Train others as appropriate on specific area of systems expertise
  
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in applying information systems solutions to business problems (plus)
• 5+ years in Medical Device OR Life Science domain (plus)
• 5+ years of experience gathering, documenting, communicating and managing requirements through project lifecycle (must have)
• Ability to work expeditiously in an ambiguous and aggressive schedule
• Ability to translate requirements from User and Business needs
• Solid knowledge of the application development process
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written/listening)
• Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills
• Detailed oriented and able to work within a team setting

• Undergraduate degree, Master's degree preferred or relevant work experience in systems or business.
