Red Hat seeks Business Analyst interns in Raleigh to participate in day-to-day work with a senior mentor and an international team. You will gain technical knowledge and contribute to ongoing projects.

During the internship you will apply data management and analysis to quantify health and sustainability of open source communities, and report upstream activities to stakeholders. This program emphasizes development and meaningful work.

Job Summary

At Red Hat, our interns are an integral part of the team. They don't get relegated to busywork or unimportant tasks, but participate in the day-to-day work and are active contributors to their team.

We are currently looking for Business Analyst interns to join us in Raleigh. You will work closely with a senior mentor to gain technical knowledge and experience in your field, and cooperate with a broader international team both locally and globally.

During this internship, you will help apply data management and analysis techniques to quantify the health and sustainability of open source software communities. You will have regular contact with AL/ML engineers and other data scientists gaining important insights into how Red Hat fosters its open source communities to grow its business. And you'll collaborate with open source community builders to provide timely reports of upstream activities to Red Hat stakeholders.

The focus for Red Hat's Intern Program is a dual partnership between the Emerging Talent Team, and our intern managers. We can offer you professional development, social engagement and networking, performance and development, and meaningful work throughout your time at Red Hat.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collect and document input from Red Hat technology users, customers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Execute and develop a competitive analysis through researching competitive solutions and documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses.
  • Develop and prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offerings.
  • Translate key findings into visualized presentations.
  • Network with other talented interns in a workplace where you can be yourself and thrive.
Required Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and analyze data to foster data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills.
  • Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally.
  • Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team.
