Overview

Remote: Remote with no requirement for being in the office—EST to 8-5pm hours

5 Must Haves
  • Product Owner experience in Agile Scrum space and drive experiences--3 to 5 years
  • Experience Jira--3 to 5 years--flexible
  • Exposure to data integration processes--data architecture--3 to 5 years
  • Listening skills--facilitation skills--process orientated and have ability to facilitate technical conversations with key stakeholders--ability to drive conversations
Education

BA degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science

PMP/PMPO Certification preferred but not a must have

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, gather requirements, and translate them into clear technical product capabilities
  • Own and manage the product backlog; prioritize features, technical improvements, and bugs based on value, risk, and effort.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to refine stories, clarify requirements, and ensure successful and timely delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with architecture and development, testing, infrastructure support, security, and compliance standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives to support Agile delivery processes.
  • Support efforts around adoption of new features by communicating value to stakeholders and supporting change management activities in agile delivery process.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvement and iteration.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working with development teams on data platforms, APIs, Microservices or other composable architecture, infrastructure, or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts, technical architecture, or cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to make trade-offs and prioritize effectively in complex technical environments.
  • [Optional] Certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or similar.
Nice to Have
  • Background in software engineering, data engineering, or systems architecture.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, or Aha!
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security frameworks, or compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
