Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Business Analyst III to partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver actionable insights. You will design and maintain KPIs, build data models, and create enterprise reporting using Power BI and SQL.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and experience with Databricks and Dynamics 365. Office suite proficiency is expected, and the position is based in Oak Brook, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information systems, supply chain, or related field is required.
• Four (4) years of experience in business analytics, BI, data analytics is preferred.
• Experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators that support business objectives.
• Design and architect advanced data visualizations using BI tools; design, develop, and support Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Perform ad hoc analysis with large data sets to identify actionable insights and trends.
• Communicate project status, risks, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and SMEs.
• Support post-implementation of self-service analytics and enable data-driven decisions.

Job description

The Business Analyst III partners with departments across the organization to integrate data from multiple sources, develop analytical solutions, and deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining key performance indicators, leading analytical initiatives, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, and supporting enterprise-wide projects that improve operational and business performance.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Strong analytical skills with ability to explore data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations.
  • Define and present business metrics to Stakeholders.
    • Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators that support business objectives
    • Build analytical story from data points
• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports accurately, and present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Design and architect advanced data visualizations using various BI tools.
    • Design, develop, and support Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
    • Create user-friendly self-service analytics experiences for business users
    • Develop and maintain data models, hierarchies, and relationships to support enterprise reporting.
• Perform ad hoc analysis with large data sets to call out and present key actionable insights.
  • Discover and communicate actionable patterns and trends.
  • Ability to work with transactional level data and create relationships and hierarchies.
  • Highlight exceptions and recommend actionable next steps.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments to gather requirements and provide status updates.
  • Communicate project status, risks, findings, and recommendations to SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Help guide understanding and knowledge of complicated data sets.
  • Support post-implementation of self-service analytics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust quickly to changing business needs.
  • Retain business requirements and remain adaptive, utilizing various analytical approaches.
  • Produce project documentation and present business user summarizations.
• Ability to work well in team environment and develop close relationships with all areas of the business.
  • Possess collaborative work style, while partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Provides analytical leadership on complex business problems while partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise
• Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information systems, supply chain, or a related field is required.
• Four (4) years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data analytics is preferred.
• Experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Supply chain, logistics, distribution, or inventory analytics experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts is preferred.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, and SQL is preferred.
• Knowledge of enterprise reporting and analysis tools.
• Problem solving skills with ability to think creatively.
• Team oriented, hardworking, open-minded, and flexible.
• Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manager multiple projects effectively.
• Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required,
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
• Ability to communicate complicated information to others.
• Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• A methodical and organized approach to problem-solving.
• The work performed is in an office environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Salary: $80,000.00 - $96,000.00
