Job description

Title: Business Analyst III

Duration: 12 Months

Location: 915 N. Eldridge Parkway, Suite 1100, Houston, TX (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Description:

We are looking for a Business Analyst III to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery while leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and optimization techniques to drive automation and continuous improvement of business processes. In this role, you will translate and prioritize business requirements, develop and execute integrated project plans, and partner with stakeholders to design solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes. You will also apply strong change management practices-including stakeholder identification and management, change strategies, communication plans, adoption planning, and sustainment-to ensure changes are embedded and deliver sustainable value to the business.

What You Will Do:
Business Analysis, Requirements & Testing
  • Serve as a liaison to functional Business Leads to elicit, translate, and prioritize requirements for business process optimization.
  • Demonstrate ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions/workshops and elicit information to clarify needs, assumptions, constraints, and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain requirements artifacts (business rules; business/functional/technical requirements) and manage changes to specifications.
  • Document operating model impacts (e.g., RACI/RAPID), controls, and opportunities for automation and harmonization across interdependent programs.
  • Translate complex/technical information into terms understandable by non-IT audiences and support adoption through clear documentation and training inputs.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate analysis, documentation, and communication while maintaining appropriate data handling and quality controls.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to track initiative performance, operational KPIs, and adoption metrics.
  • Design and support solutions using Power Apps and SharePoint (lists, forms, workflows, and document management) to enable process digitization and standardization.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities, proposing practical solutions, and measuring outcomes.
Business Process & Change Management
  • Contribute to business process optimization and harmonization efforts, incorporating field operations needs and enterprise standards.
  • Assess change impacts and develop change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement plans to support adoption.
  • Identify interdependencies across initiatives, systems, and process changes; ensure alignment to overall GTM Operations priorities and sequencing.
  • Flex between Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Change Lead responsibilities as needed for special projects and critical deliverables.
Cross?Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with GTM Training resources to define training needs, develop/validate content, and coordinate delivery aligned to release timelines.
  • Collaborate with GTM TIS teams to support system enhancements and implementations, including requirements clarification, testing support, and cutover readiness.
  • Act as a cross-functional PM/BA to support multiple business areas such as asset management, pipeline integrity, facility integrity, work management, and compliance.
  • Balance workload across multiple concurrent initiatives in varied subject areas while maintaining stakeholder alignment and delivery quality.
Scope & Impact
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of ICM projects that may impact large portions of the organization.
  • Provide innovative solutions to GTM Operations and add value by improving safety, efficiency, and work execution.
  • Challenge traditional thinking and support continuous improvement across GTMO.
Who You Are:
You Have:
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or related certifications (preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting field operations and business process optimization initiatives in oil and gas.
  • Ability to translate highly technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Project leadership experience with ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams; comfort working across PM and BA toolsets.
Preferred:
  • PMP, PBA/CBAP, or similar project/business analysis certification.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Change management experience (e.g., ProSci).
Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid work model (office and remote).
  • Minimal travel unless assigned to field?related projects.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Frequent sitting, computer work, and communication; occasional walking/standing; may lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Role involves managing multiple competing priorities and influencing across the organization.
