Our client is a global, technology-driven trading firm with a long track record of building sophisticated systems and empowering highly capable people to operate across international financial markets.

The culture prioritizes intellectual honesty, curiosity, and constructive challenge. Success is driven not only by outcomes, but by rigor, integrity, and collaboration. Employees are trusted to operate autonomously in a high-expectation environment where ideas are tested on merit.

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying, defining, and driving prioritization across complex derivatives initiatives within a fast-moving trading environment. The initial emphasis will be on a proprietary electronic execution platform supporting options markets. The position requires a strong blend of options domain knowledge, technical fluency, and business judgment, with close interaction across trading, engineering, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead structured discussions with trading teams to uncover new requirements, assess business impact, and help determine execution priority
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technology requirements, including tickets, user stories, and epics, in partnership with front‑office and engineering teams
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and timing considerations to improve delivery planning, forecasting, and execution confidence
  • Partner with technical leadership to align on project scope, sequencing, and delivery plans
  • Deliver concise, executive‑level updates on project progress and outcomes on a regular cadence
  • Facilitate post‑delivery reviews to reinforce continuous improvement and highlight successful outcomes
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of electronic options trading within derivatives markets
  • Working knowledge of options risk, pricing models, and operational workflows
  • Prior experience defining detailed technology or system requirements
  • Familiarity with documentation and visualization tools used to capture workflows and user needs
  • Hands‑on experience with collaboration and project‑tracking platforms (e.g., issue tracking, whiteboarding, knowledge bases)
  • Proven ability to organize, scope, and prioritize trading technology initiatives
  • 2–3 years of experience in a trading, risk, operations, or technology‑adjacent role supporting exchange‑traded or OTC derivatives
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills
