Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Business Analyst to join Selling Partner Services. You will analyze large data sets, generate data-driven insights, and develop models to optimize risk operations and resource allocation.

The role requires strong Excel/SQL skills and experience communicating with stakeholders. You will own ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards to guide strategic decisions, ensure data quality, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business.
  • Create models that optimize the resources, inputs & outputs of risk operations business.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
