Role Overview

As a Business Analyst & AI Workflow Specialist on the Managed Data Services team at Visible, you will play a pivotal role in supporting venture capital firms with the collection, organization, and integrity of their portfolio data. You will also own and lead improvements to our internal AI tooling, workflows, and prompting systems.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Ingesting and processing portfolio data provided by portfolio companies to venture capital firms. This includes portfolio company updates and data collected directly through the Visible application.
• Extract, transform, and map raw data from a variety of formats (Excel, PDF, CSV, etc.) into structured data used within the Visible platform.
• Verifying data accuracy against source documentation, ensuring all figures and qualitative information are faithfully represented. You will act as our “Human in the Loop” as we refine our AI parsing engine.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success and Product Support teams to ensure data workflows align with client expectations.
• Taking ownership of our internal AI agent workflows and prompt design, ensuring continuous improvement in data processing automation and operational efficiency
• Testing, evaluating, and refining prompt structures and automation protocols to maximize accuracy and performance.
• Working closely with engineering, product, and operations to scale our use of AI in customer workflows and internal tooling.
  
  

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical individual with experience working directly with data, and someone who is excited to explore the operational benefits of applied AI and LLM technologies.

This role reports directly to Visible’s Customer Success & Product Strategy Lead.

Qualifications & What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of experience working with financial and operational data, ideally in a finance & accounting— or data analysis—related context.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analysis, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation and working with software applications (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets), with the ability to interpret and translate unstructured data into structured formats.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills—capable of managing large data sets and client interactions simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Experience working with or managing AI tooling, including prompt engineering and performance evaluation, is a strong plus.
• Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
• You operate with a bias for action and speed—you’re efficient at turning insights into changes that have real impact.
• You want to be part of a small, growth-minded team.

• Experience working at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
• Experience working in venture capital, private equity, or financial services.
• Familiarity with portfolio company reporting, including investor updates and KPI reporting.

Compensation

• Annual Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (USD), depending on experience and location

• Part I: Phone Screen with a team member. We'd love to hear about your development experience, but more importantly, answer any questions that you have.
• Part II: A deeper skills interview with out team.
• Part III: A small project that will be related to your role. It will take less than a day to complete, and we will pay you for your work.
• Part IV: A final interview with our CEO & Founder to chat about the project and get to know the rest of the team.
