Job summary

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. in New Jersey Fort Dix is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to translate stakeholder needs into actionable backlog items, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance that support modernization, testing, and delivery decisions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years in analysis roles, DoD process knowledge, and familiarity with AI-enabled business capabilities; CompTIA Security+ is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as stated.
  • 5+ years as Business/Functional/System Analyst or similar.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition, contracting and business processes.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled business capabilities and analytics use cases.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document ACWS requirements, workflows, and business rules.
  • Convert needs into backlog-ready stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support UAT planning, scenario review, issue triage, and validation.
  • Maintain traceability and cross-team clarifications.
  • Identify process improvements.

All hired employees are expected to have experience with Microsoft Copilot and / or an approved equivalent AI solution.

Business Analyst Summary: Translates stakeholder needs, acquisition processes, and mission requirements into clear, actionable backlog items, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance that support modernization, testing, and delivery decisions.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or Requirements Analyst supporting enterprise business systems.

Knowledge of DoD acquisition, contracting, procurement, financial, and business processes, including experience translating mission and functional requirements into system capabilities.

Knowledge of AI-enabled business capabilities, workflow automation, decision support, and analytics use cases

Comp Tia Security+ certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Army, DoD, acquisition, contracting, financial, or mission enterprise systems.
  • SAFe, Agile, Business Analysis, Product Owner/Product Manager, or ITIL certification preferred.
  • Experience with Appian, LC/NC platforms, Jira, and enterprise workflow systems.
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts and practical use cases for requirements analysis and user support

Responsibilities:

The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.

DSA - Salary Pay Range

$115,000 - $125,000 USD
