Job summary

Capstone IT is seeking a Business Analyst to join a Scaled Agile development team, translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. You will partner with stakeholders, engineers, designers, and QA to own stories through delivery and support testing and defect resolution.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, SAFe ceremonies, process mapping, test planning, and documenting outcomes.

Capstone IT is helping our client find a Business Analyst who will work within a Scaled Agile development team to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and test scenarios. This person will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineers, designers, and QA teams, own assigned stories through delivery, support testing and defect resolution, and proactively identify risks and blockers.

Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

• Document process flows, system information, requirements, and meeting outcomes.
• Maintain clear, concise, testable, and maintainable documentation.
• Use Jira, Microsoft Teams, and email to communicate status, questions, risks, and blockers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst supporting software/application development.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Hands-on user story and acceptance criteria development.
• Experience with business process mapping and analysis.
• Agile/Scrum or SAFe delivery experience.
• Experience with Jira or comparable Agile/defect-management tools.
• Experience creating and executing test plans/scripts and managing defects.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, design, QA, and business teams.
• Ability to work independently through ambiguous requirements.
• Experience representing a team on cross-organizational initiatives and reporting deliverables/blockers.
• Nice to have: Previous Compass application experience.
