Job description
Overview

Real Chemistry is seeking a hands-on Business Analyst to build and maintain the technical foundations that power our sales operations and analytics—datasets, automations, and dashboards. You’ll spend substantial time in Excel and Power BI to ingest, clean, reconcile, and publish trustworthy data for operational use. This role emphasizes tool proficiency, data quality, and repeatable processes to ensure the accuracy of pipelines, models, and dashboards.

Responsibilities
  • Excel Modeling: Build robust Excel models using INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, nested IFs, arrays, PivotTables, and Power Query/Power Pivot for data shaping and aggregations. Create data-validation rules, named ranges, and traceability tabs for auditability; optional VBA for repetitive tasks.
  • Power BI Development: Build and publish datasets and Power BI dashboards; implement refresh schedules and usage monitoring. Create, maintain, and document DAX formulas, calculated columns, and measures in Power BI to support accurate metrics, KPIs, and dynamic visualizations. Design interactive charts and visualizations to support decision-making across teams.
  • Data Integration and Management: Extract and combine data from Salesforce (CRM), NetSuite (ERP), and other operational systems via exports or connectors; maintain scheduled refreshes and file drops. Normalize and validate incoming files; implement schema, datatype, and null/duplicate checks; log and remediate exceptions. Maintain data dictionaries and source-of-truth mappings to ensure workflows are reproducible.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement systematic QA: row counts, variance vs. prior loads, and reconciliation back to system-of-record. Proactively identify and resolve data issues to ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, trusted data.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience (internships/co-ops count) in business analytics, data operations, or sales ops; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including Power Pivot, formulas, and pivots); strong attention to detail and comfort with large, messy datasets.
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards end-to-end (from data preparation through publishing).
  • Practical habits around QA, documentation, and reproducibility (including data dictionaries, calculation catalogs, and runbooks).
  • Clear written communication skills for documentation and handoffs.
  • Experience with automation tools like Power Query, Power Automate, or Python to streamline processes is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000
