Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  • Property & Casualty insurance domain experience (homeowners preferred).
  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills (clear, organized outputs).
  • Experience working in a structured intake/workflow using Jira or ServiceNow.
  • Exposure to homeowners insurance processes and terminology and Guidewire familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document requirements for change requests and enhancements.
  • Review and refine work items in Jira/ServiceNow to understand scope and drive clarity.
  • Lead stakeholder conversations (1:1s, workshops, discovery sessions) to capture current/future state and ensure requirements are complete and testable.
  • Create and maintain BA artifacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirement documentation.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams and push back when requests are unclear or infeasible.

Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Role Overview:
This role involves partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, and developers to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for change requests and enhancements. You will review and refine work items in a modern ticketing tool to understand scope and ensure clarity. You will lead stakeholder conversations, including one-on-ones, workshops, and discovery sessions, to capture current and future state processes, ensuring requirements are complete and testable. You will create and maintain business analysis artifacts like user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirement documentation. Acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, you will ask the right questions and professionally push back on requests that are unclear, infeasible, or misaligned with desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Property & Casualty insurance domain experience (homeowners preferred)
  • Strong track record in requirements gathering and documentation (clear, organized, development-ready outputs)
  • Experience working in a structured intake/request workflow using tools like Jira (preferred) or ServiceNow
  • Exposure to homeowners insurance processes and terminology
  • Familiarity with Guidewire – plus
