Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior Technology Lead to guide a team responsible for patient support systems and related business processes. You will ensure effective resource utilization, strong performance, and successful execution of initiatives across cross-functional teams.

You will translate business needs into technical requirements, help design testing strategies, monitor milestones, and drive continuous improvement through data insights within AbbVie's immunology, oncology and neuroscience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of specialty pharmacy experience.
• Experience developing and generating reports to maximize efficiency.
• Experience with continuous improvement preferred.
• Project Management experience a plus.

• Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems.
• Partners with business to analyze processes and needs, and makes recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs.

• Provides leadership to project planning and monitors/organizes efforts of staff.
• Supports planning, coordination, and execution of projects and process changes.
• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, including process automation and rollout plans.
• Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to Technology Leads.

Uses analytical, business, and technology knowledge to support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of patient support programs. Serves as a technology subject matter resource for systems used to support these services. Partners with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into requirements, assess processes, and recommend practical solutions. Uses data, process insights, and user feedback to improve quality, productivity, compliance, and the overall experience for internal users, patients, and health care professionals. Leads, develops, and manages a team of Technology Leads to ensure effective resource utilization, strong individual performance, and successful execution of business systems activities.

Responsibilities:

• Determines approach and solution to problem when issue is within scope of own ability. Develops solutions to problems where casual relationships can be identified and precedents exist.
• Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems. Incorporates knowledge of business and technology to make recommendations. Translates data gathered from user discussions into business requirements. Identifies business/system needs and recommends solutions. Assists with the testing strategies and develops preliminary findings.
• Partners with business to analyze processes and needs, and makes recommendations that are most effective means to satisfy those needs. Analyses the most complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
• Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a clear partnership with SMEs in the business. As a result, a strong understanding of the business is required.
• Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals. Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions. Provides leadership to project planning.
• Monitors and organizes the efforts of technical and business support staff. Manages projects according to milestones and completes tasks assigned by more experienced analysts and managers. Guides the efforts of less experienced staff.
• Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects and process changes, including requirements gathering, testing, tracking milestones, documenting findings, and coordinating follow-up activities.
• Identifies and supports continuous improvement opportunities, including process automation and changes to people, process, or technology. Helps develop process flows, communications, training materials, and rollout plans as needed.
• Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to Technology Leads, establishing clear expectations, priorities, and accountability for deliverables.
• Manages employee performance and development, including goal setting, ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and identification of training and development opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience to demonstrate technical equivalency
• 3-5 years of specialty pharmacy experience
• Experience developing and generating reports to maximize efficiency
• Experience with continuous improvement preferred
• Project Management experience a plus
