Position Description

CGI has an immediate need for a Business Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an Agile environment using emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

This role sits at a client site in Reston, VA with a hybrid working model acceptable.
Support high-priority initiatives and bridge business analysis and quality assurance by translating complex trading and risk management requirements into actionable specifications and test cases.
Work closely with Quantitative Engineers and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of statistical modeling and analytical software applications.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Strong understanding of Capital Markets products, especially mortgage-backed securities and trading systems
Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation
Familiarity with C++ (not for development, but for understanding system behavior)
Demonstrated experience in business analysis and software testing within financial systems
Ability to design and execute test cases for complex financial models
Solid grasp of cash flow modeling, discounting, and valuation techniques
Experience working in Agile environments and using Agile tools for tracking and reporting
Strong communication skills to collaborate with Quant Engineers and cross-functional teams
Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve test case failures
Preferred: CFA certification or coursework in financial modeling and capital markets
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis and/or testing within capital markets or financial services

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
