Job description

The Business Analyst plays a critical role supporting divisional growth initiatives and strategic projects at IMA Advisors. This is a high‑impact, execution‑oriented role for an early‑career professional who can independently support workstreams, synthesize complex information, and translate analysis into action. The role partners closely with business and functional leaders to support initiatives across growth strategy, partner onboarding and integration, and operational improvement. Attention to detail and a high level of motivation are essential for success in this role.

This is a role ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, banking, corporate finance, similar analytical roles with demonstrated ownership of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Project and Program Leadership

  • Support the design, scoping, planning, and execution of cross‑functional projects by independently owning analyses, workplans, and deliverables with guidance from leaders.

Partner Due Diligence and Onboarding

  • Support M&A due diligence efforts by gathering and synthesizing operational and financial data from pre‑LOI phase through closing; prior M&A experience is helpful but not required.
  • Assist in planning and executing pre‑ and post‑close integration activities across operations, technology, and business functions.
  • Track progress against integration plans and elevate issues or delays as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, HR, and other departments to coordinate integration tasks and timelines.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate integration status to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to post‑merger evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze various data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to support strategic decision making, including product and service assessments, resource allocations, and operating unit business plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to implement data‑driven solutions.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Serve as the liaison between the business units and various technical teams/experts to ensure alignment and understanding.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, banking, corporate finance, or similar roles.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project management software and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are a plus.
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong follow‑through and accountability for deliverables
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with senior‑level management and excellent executive presence.
  • Personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented. Driven to achieve individual and divisional goals.

Salary Range: $60,000 USD - $90,000 USD
