Job summary

VSG Business Solutions LLC seeks an Expert with extensive data governance and transportation data expertise to guide large teams and shape governance roadmaps around real-time streaming data, data quality, and standards.

The role requires experience with SAE J2735, GTFS, WZDx, ITS architecture, TMCs, and CAV data, plus leadership in cross-functional settings. A relevant degree or CDMP is required, with documentation to follow.

Qualifications

• Must have 84+ months guiding large teams or extensive industry experience at top of field.
• Experience defining and implementing a data governance roadmap and data lifecycle management of real-time streaming data.
• Experience with data quality, metadata, standards, data catalog, and business glossary for regulatory compliance.

Expert

84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

84 months experience in Data Framework and Policy Development. This includes defining and implementing a data governance roadmap, data lifecycle management of real-time streaming data, and standards for data creation, ingestion, storage, retention and disposal.

72 months experience in Data quality, Metadata and Standards. This includes establishing data quality processes and metrics, a comprehensive data catalog and business glossary, standards to ensure compliance with Federal and NYS transportation data standards

72 months experience in Stakeholder collaboration. This includes establishing and leading a Data Stewardship cross-functional committee, creating data sharing agreements.

48 months experience working with transportation-specific data formats and standards (e.g., SAE J2735 for connected vehicles, GTFS, WZDx for work zones).

48 months experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) architecture, Traffic Management Centers (TMCs), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), and emerging Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) data

48 months experience in a team manager and functional supervisory role.

MUST hold one of the following:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Information Technology, Civil Engineering (with a transportation focus)

* Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
