Job summary

G2O is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty and reinsurance expertise in Cincinnati. The BA will bridge business and technology teams, translating complex needs into clear functional requirements and acceptance criteria.

You will support system implementations, data integrations, and regulatory reporting within a treaty and facultative reinsurance environment, collaborating across project lifecycles from design to post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of BA experience in insurance, preferably P&C.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance concepts and accounting.
• Experience with requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery and testing activities.
• Experience with APIs, data mapping, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements with user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and align requirements with business and technology teams.
• Analyze reinsurance processes including treaty and facultative arrangements and claims data.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for process improvements and system dependencies.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance knowledge and specialized expertise in reinsurance. As the Business Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between business and technology teams, translating complex business needs into clear functional requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with treaty and facultative arrangements, ceded and assumed reinsurance, claims, accounting, and regulatory reporting. You will support system implementations, enhancements, data integrations, and process improvements within a reinsurance environment.

What You'll Do:

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and collaborate with business and technology teams to understand objectives, define solutions, and align requirements.
• Analyze reinsurance processes, workflows, systems, and data relationships, including treaty and facultative arrangements, ceded and assumed reinsurance, claims, accounting, and reporting.
• Identify process gaps, system dependencies, and opportunities for business process optimization.
• Participate throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, implementation, and post‑implementation support.
• Partner with QA teams to develop test plans, support functional and integration testing, facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), and resolve defects.
• Support reinsurance system implementations, enhancements, and integrations, including API requirements, data mapping, interface specifications, and data quality.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and ensure business requirements are understood, documented, and delivered.
• Contribute to digital transformation, regulatory reporting, data analytics, and other technology initiatives supporting reinsurance operations.

What You'll Need:

• 5–7+ years of Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry, preferably in Property & Casualty (P&C).
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance concepts, including treaty and facultative arrangements, ceded and assumed reinsurance, claims, and reinsurance accounting.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies and multiple phases of the project lifecycle.
• Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and testing activities.
• Familiarity with APIs, data mapping, insurance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience with reinsurance platforms, administration systems, or data integration solutions.
• Exposure to digital transformation, customer or broker portals, and data analytics initiatives.
• IIBA certifications such as CBAP or CCBA, are a plus.
