Job description

Business Analyst Job Description:

Real Chemistry is seeking a curious, technically skilled Business Analyst to help turn complex commercial data into clear, trusted insights that guide business decisions. As part of Revenue Analytics, you will support the reporting and analytical foundations used to understand pipeline health, bookings performance, win rates, conversion, forecasting, and other go-to-market priorities. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving how work gets done, and using Excel, AI‑enabled tools, and data visualization to make information more accurate, accessible, and actionable. You will gain broad exposure to revenue processes and cross‑functional stakeholders while building practical expertise in analytics, automation, data quality, and business storytelling.

What you’ll do:
  • Revenue Analytics and KPI Reporting: Support recurring and ad hoc analysis of pipeline health, bookings performance, win rates, conversion, forecasting, target attainment, and other go‑to‑market KPIs. Translate business questions into accurate analytical outputs and concise takeaways that help stakeholders understand performance, opportunities, and areas requiring follow‑up.
  • Excel‑Based Analysis and Modeling: Build and maintain reliable Excel models and reporting tools using advanced formulas such as XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, nested IFs, arrays, PivotTables, Power Query, and Power Pivot. Structure workbooks for usability, traceability, and repeatability, and use automation capabilities where appropriate to reduce manual effort.
  • AI‑Enabled Analytics and Process Improvement: Use Microsoft Copilot, CoWork, and other approved AI‑enabled tools to accelerate data analysis, reporting, documentation, quality checks, and repeatable workflows. Apply sound judgment when validating AI‑generated outputs and help identify practical opportunities to improve speed, consistency, and scalability.
  • Data Integration and Management: Extract, combine, clean, and normalize data from Salesforce, NetSuite, and other operational systems through exports, connectors, and recurring file‑based processes. Perform schema, datatype, null, duplicate, and exception checks, and maintain clear source mappings and data dictionaries so workflows are reproducible.
  • Quality Assurance and Data Stewardship: Reconcile analytical outputs to systems of record, review variances, and proactively identify, document, and help resolve data issues. Support consistent use of metric definitions, calculation logic, and reporting standards so stakeholders can rely on the information provided.
  • Stakeholder Partnership and Communication: Partner with Revenue Analytics and cross‑functional teams to clarify reporting needs, document requirements and processes, and provide clear handoffs. Communicate findings, limitations, assumptions, and data issues in a concise and practical manner.
  • Data Visualization and Power BI Support: Contribute to dashboards and reporting views by preparing data, validating measures, documenting logic, and creating clear visualizations. Experience with Power BI, DAX, or dashboard publishing is valuable, but this role will primarily support and extend established reporting capabilities rather than own the full Power BI environment.
This position is a perfect fit for you if:
  • Our Company values - Best Together, Impact‑Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an “I” - really speak to you.
  • You are analytically curious and enjoy investigating data, identifying patterns, and understanding the business context behind the numbers.
  • You are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of detailed work while keeping the broader business objective in view.
  • You are highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage deadlines, work independently, and ask thoughtful questions when requirements or results are unclear.
  • You are adaptable and motivated to learn new tools, processes, and commercial concepts as the organization evolves.
  • You are excited to use AI and automation as practical working tools while maintaining high standards for accuracy, judgment, privacy, and responsible data handling.
What you should have:
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, and Power Pivot, with demonstrated comfort working with large or imperfect datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to reconcile data, investigate variances, identify patterns, and develop clear, supportable conclusions.
  • 1‑2 years of experience, including internships or co‑ops, in business analytics, data analytics, data operations, sales operations, revenue analytics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience through coursework or a project portfolio.
  • Practical habits around quality assurance, documentation, and reproducibility, such as maintaining data dictionaries, calculation logic, process documentation, or runbooks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize analytical findings, assumptions, and limitations for business audiences.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, CoWork, Claude, or similar AI productivity tools for analysis, research, documentation, or workflow improvement.
  • Basic understanding of business KPIs and performance metrics. Exposure to sales organizations, revenue processes, Salesforce, CRM data, or commercial reporting is preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to Power BI, including data preparation, DAX, dashboard development, or publishing through coursework, internships, prior roles, or a project portfolio, is a plus.
