Job summary

Southern Careers Institute seeks an Instructor to positively impact students’ lives by sharing expertise and experience within a collaborative campus environment in Texas.

The role emphasizes practical business and administration instruction, with emphasis on clear communication, robust lesson planning, and engagement with students to foster success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for faculty teaching business and business administration courses.
• If the bachelor’s degree is not in the assigned teaching field, at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training or competency is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and applies thorough knowledge of the teaching field and discipline.
• Plans and organizes instruction to maximize student learning; practice excellence in teaching.
• Modifies instructional methods to meet diverse students’ needs.
• Prepare lesson plans and teach course as prescribed by the approved institutional curriculum.
• Encourages development of communication skills and higher order thinking through assignments.

• Prepare lesson plans and teach course as prescribed by the approved institutional curriculum;
• Encourages the development of communication skills and higher order thinking skills through appropriate assignments.
