Job summary

New River CTC is seeking an instructor to teach assigned business courses, aligning with approved course descriptions and student learning outcomes. You will prepare syllabi, publish schedules, and connect theory to workplace and community applications.

You will meet course expectations, maintain instructor availability through office hours and approved channels, and use the LMS to support delivery and assessment.

Qualifications

• Meets New River CTC faculty credentialing requirements for assigned courses.
• Demonstrated current knowledge of business discipline and ability to communicate concepts to college students.
• Two or more years of college-level teaching or equivalent adult-learning experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned business courses in accordance with approved course descriptions, student learning outcomes, departmental expectations, and College policies.
• Prepare and publish a complete course syllabus and instructional schedule before the course opens to students.
• Develop organized, current instructional materials connecting business theory with workplace, entrepreneurial, and community applications.
• Meet all scheduled classes and maintain instructor availability through office hours, email, telephone, or approved channels.
• Assess student learning using valid methods; provide feedback; maintain attendance, grades, and achievement records; submit midterm and final grades by deadlines.
