Business Adjunct Faculty (Multiple Openings)

On behalf of The School of Business at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), PKH is recruiting qualified applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Business Administration Department (BA). Selected candidates will be interested in teaching undergraduate courses in an asynchronous, fully online environment.

NCCU Primary Purpose of the Organization

The School’s AACSB-accredited programs serve undergraduate and graduate students. The BA Department offers 6 core courses for undergraduate business majors and four primary concentrations: Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Management, and Marketing. These core courses include:

  • MGT 1100 – Business Orientation
  • MGT 3000 – Organization & Management
  • MGT 3400 – Business Communication
  • MGT 4740 – Strategic Management
  • MKT 3210 – Principles of Marketing

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Currency in the discipline, effective oral and written communication skills, experience with instructional technology, and sound technological knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Specific Tasks

  • Teach one or more courses in the Business Core.
  • Optional teaching in Management courses: Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship and Venture Management, and International Business.
  • Hold virtual student office hours aligned with teaching responsibilities.
  • Meet criteria consistent with AACSB accreditation standards.
  • Master’s degree candidates must have relevant professional experience; doctorate holders should have scholarly publications or recent AACSB doctoral graduation.
  • Professional discipline certification is desirable.
