Qualifications

• Familiar with basic vehicle parts and maintenance indicators.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication with drivers and supervisors.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean exterior and interior of buses to high standards.
• Perform lavatory cleaning and waste disposal per protocol.
• Report graffiti or damage to Maintenance.
• Keep wash bay and fuel area clean.
• Support drivers and dispatchers for timely operations.
• Maintain supplies list and restock as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Overview

The Bus Washer is responsible for maintaining the professional appearance of all company vehicles, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards. This role involves thorough cleaning of both the exterior and interior of buses, making sure they are presentable and ready for service. The Bus Washer plays a crucial part in upholding the company’s standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for lavatory cleaning, including dumping and refilling toilets
• Remove any graffiti or spots before the vehicle goes out into service
• Bring any mechanical repairs needed to the attention of the Maintenance Department
• Remove any outdated materials from the bus and replace any in bad condition
• Assist drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors to ensure timely AM pullout
• Maintain a clean bus wash/fuel bay area
• Maintain a list of supplies needed to perform duties
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle parts
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and take instruction both verbally and written
• Valid driver’s license
• Must use manual dexterity and body coordination to perform various tasks
• Can lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs
