Our client is seeking an SPED School Bus Monitor to supervise students while riding the bus and to help ensure students are transported safely beginning in the upcoming school year in August 2025 thru June 2026.

CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS/COMPENSATION

  • Monday thru Friday-FT Morning and afternoon coverage required for a split shift beginning at 5:30a-9am & 1:30p-5p
  • $17./hr

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

The School Bus Aide will ride the bus and help ensure students are transported safely and efficiently from one location to another. Meet and assist students with safe boarding including following all wheelchair and seat restraint guidelines. Exercise student management through communication and discipline according to school policy and report any difficulties or changes in students' needs to supervisor. Maintain positive relationships with other employees, parents, and public.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
  • Ability to maneuver effectively in a school bus and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to physically perform a front and back door bus evacuation and to perform CPR and first aid techniques on the ground or floor
  • Ability to walk the equivalent of at least one mile daily
