Cairn University's Department of Athletics is seeking to fill multiple part-time Bus Driver positions to transport student athletes and occasionally other large groups of college students to events using university vehicles. Cairn University is an NCAA Division III school and participates in the United East Conference.
Bus Drivers use university vehicles, including a 37-passenger bus, to transport athletic teams and/or other student groups. The work schedule varies based on event schedules and driver availability, with up to two to three trips per week during the academic year (August - May). Saturday trips typically last 8-10 hours, while weekday trips are approximately 4 to 6 hours. This part-time position does not include employee benefits.
The Department of Athletics aims to develop student athletes who honor God through integrity, humility, and discipline, pursuing athletic excellence and embodying Christian values. The department emphasizes spiritual development alongside athletic training, encouraging prayer, Bible study, and mentorship.
