Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a safety-focused and experienced Bus Driver Trainer to support
our Transportation Department. This position plays a critical role in preparing and mentoring school bus drivers to provide clean, safe,
and reliable transportation for students across our district.

EPSD9 is nestled in the scenic Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, serving the communities of Eagle Point, White City, and beyond.

About the Role
The Bus Driver Trainer provides direct training and evaluation of school bus drivers, ensuring compliance with
Oregon Department of Education and Department of Motor Vehicles standards. This position includes teaching safe driving practices,
maintaining accurate training records, evaluating driver readiness, and collaborating closely with the Transportation Supervisor.
This role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and a firm commitment to student and community safety.

Who We’re Looking For
EPSD9 is seeking a trainer with a valid Oregon CDL with applicable endorsements and at least three years of experience driving a school bus.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of state and district transportation regulations and be capable of effectively
teaching and evaluating driver performance. The position also requires the ability to maintain accurate records and training schedules,
work well both independently and collaboratively, and uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Physical & Operational Requirements
The position requires the ability to lift, carry, or assist with student evacuation procedures involving up to 125 pounds.
The trainer must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all types of conditions and be able to operate a
vehicle at night and during extended trips.

Position Title:Bus Driver Trainer
Placement: Transportation, Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Transportation Supervisor
Contract Days: 210 Days per year, to begin August 2025
Salary Range: $19.27 - $27.41 per hour, salary placement will depend upon verified full-time experience
Includes an excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement "employee contribution" paid by the District,
and tuition reimbursement available
