Bus Driver Trainer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving buses and shuttles
• Preparing classroom training materials and packets
• Conducting classroom, road, and in-service training
• Testing for bus driving certification and preparing documentation
• Assisting with bus dispatch

Job Qualifications

Demonstrated skill in the safe operation of a motor vehicle, ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, passing pre-employment drug test, and meeting Arizona Dept. of Transportation physical requirements.

Licensing/Certification Requirements

• AZ Commercial Driver's License with P&S endorsement
• AZ School Bus Driver's Certificate
• Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR, First Aid, PPT, Classroom Instructor, Behind the Wheel Instructor, and 3rd Party Testing Certifications
• Potentially AHCCCS number for Medicaid billing and 39-month MVD record

Minimum Required Experience

High School Diploma or GED, 1-2 years of bus driving experience, and 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent.

Employment Details

School Year: 25/26, 40 hours/week, 260 days/year

Salary

B21 - $19.49/hr (with benefits, ACA, and vacation)
