Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
• Candidates must satisfy NY S Rules for School Bus Drivers and endorsements later.

Responsibilities

• Shadow licensed bus drivers and trainers to learn routes and safety procedures.
• Ride with drivers on regular runs to observe passenger interactions and emergency procedures.
• Sit at controls under supervision and perform basic bus-driving functions.
• Attend trainings to learn motor vehicle rules for bus/van operation.
• Prepare and maintain basic bus routes and pickup routes; report issues to supervisor.
