Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient transportation of students on the specified route in accordance with the schedule and for curriculum and extra‑curricular activities.
• Follow all rules, policies, and procedures of Classical Charter Schools of Leland and regulations pertaining to the Department of Transportation.
• Comply with all traffic ordinances and observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline of students in tandem with the Bus Monitor and report undisciplined students to the proper authority.
• Keep the assigned bus clean and check the bus before each operation for mechanical defects.
• Notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students.
• Report all accidents and complete required reports.
• Stay current with state rules and regulations pertaining to driving and transporting students.
• Support effective school operations by having a reliable means of communication for quick response to the Office Manager and Headmaster.
• Clock in and out to ensure accurate record‑keeping in compliance with Department of Labor standards.
