CDL Driver/Operator

Up to $3,000 Sign On Bonus

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Savannah, GA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

  1. $22.50 - $24.00 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)
    1. Training pay $22.50 with progression to $24.00
    2. Sign-on bonus of up to $3,000
    3. Night and Weekend shift differentials

Benefits include:

  1. Vacation: up to 160 hours per year for full-time employees
  2. Paid Personal Days: 5 per year after probationary period
  3. Holidays: 10 days; 9 standard and 1 floating
  4. Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  2. Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
  3. Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  4. Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
  5. Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  1. 21 years or older
  2. Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement
  3. Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  4. Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  5. Availability to work day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts as assigned.
  6. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  2. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  3. Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
