Position Location: Marion Area Transit, 137 S. State St., Marion, OH
This is a part-time non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $13.925/hour. Hourly rate will increase to $15.66/hour upon successful completion of one year of employment and will move to $17.93/hour upon completing the second year. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST.
SUMMARY: Drives bus to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule and maintains logs as required by ODOT and MAT regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following and other duties as assigned:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid Ohio Driver's License without restrictions of any privilege to drive at any time and must be free from any requirement of High Risk Liability Insurance.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
