Loudoun County Public Schools in Leesburg, VA seeks a Bus Driver Instructor to lead classroom and behind-the-wheel training, perform field observations, and assist in bus operations to safely transport students. The role also involves participating in in-service meetings, outreach events, and coordinating third-party DMV testing as needed.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, four years of driving experience, and a CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements.
The Bus Driver Instructor is assigned to a route, and in addition is responsible for classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel instruction, retraining instruction, transport van training, third party CDL testing if necessary, and other duties as assigned. The Bus Driver Instructor assists the Transportation Area Supervisor in charge of training. The work includes operating a school bus and field observation of school bus drivers and attendants.

Notification and confirmation of the expectation of essential personnel to report to work, or maintain as-needed status, will be executed with as much advanced notice as possible via in-person communication or email.
