Profile

Requirements and Responsibilities of the Bus Driver

1. Acts as the front-line point of contact to ensure the delivery of quality customer service.
2. Safely operates various types of buses through light to heavy city and freeway traffic.
3. Transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes, making only designated stops unless otherwise communicated by dispatch.
4. Complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety.
5. Ensures the highest quality of bus service is delivered to customers.
6. Assists customers in a safe, friendly, courteous, and helpful manner, including helping those with disabilities and assisting with safety restraints as requested.
7. Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
8. Follows all company safety rules and operates assigned vehicles to meet customer standards.
9. Operates all equipment safely and efficiently, including farebox, lift, radio, emergency equipment, hatches, and rear engine compartment door.
10. Performs pre-trip inspections and completes DVIR in accordance with FMCSR to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.
11. Coordinates detour, accident, and incident information with radio dispatch and responds appropriately.
12. Makes effective independent decisions and manages conflicts based on safety, experience, training, and policies.
13. Collects, processes, and documents fares and passenger counts as required.
14. Reports and follows up on all accidents or unusual incidents involving RATP Dev vehicles.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Requires passing a DOT Physical exam.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $19.95 per hour
