Minimum Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid Alabama bus driver license (ABL) and commercial driver's license (CDL) with P/S endorsement.
• Maintain a current Alabama School Bus Physical or ALDOT Health Card as required by law.
• Meet suitability criteria under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
• Possess and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Pass a drug test as per law.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Operate a school vehicle on assigned routes, including during pre-dawn and dusk hours.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force.
• Perform duties like pre-trip and post-trip inspections and bus evacuations as per regulations.
• Be punctual and maintain regular attendance.
