Job summary

American Senior Communities in Zionsville, IN is seeking a Full-time Bus Driver for day shifts. You’ll transport residents to appointments and activities, ensure safe entry/exit with ramps, and uphold CARE values in every interaction.

This role requires a minimum 25 years of age, a valid CDL where applicable, and a HS diploma or GED, with good standing on an Operator's License. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality senior care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments and activities.
• Safely assist residents in entering/exiting the vehicle using ramps and restraints.
• Provide a calm, engaging, and supportive atmosphere during travel.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure resident well‑being.

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Skills Needed:

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Safety Focused: Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
• Must be 25 years of age or older. Compassion, Accountability, RelationshipsandExcellence
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator's License.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
