Job summary

The Community Bus Driver at American Senior Communities in Zionsville, IN, is a full-time Day Shift role focused on transporting residents to appointments and activities. You will ensure safe, courteous service and uphold our CARE values in daily interactions.

Must be 25+, with a valid CDL if applicable for larger buses, a high school diploma or GED, and good standing with an Operator’s License. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers.
• Good standing and current Operator’s License.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments and activities.
• Safely transport residents using ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Provide a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Collaborate with team to ensure excellent care for residents.

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Skills Needed

• Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs and lifts.
• Safety Focused: Ability to provide safe and secure travel for our residents.
• Supportive Presence: Create a comforting, calm and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
• Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements

• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
