Job summary

Gateway Regional High School District in Woodbury Heights, NJ, is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The role requires a CDL B with passenger and S endorsements, the ability to follow instructions, good appearance and character, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A criminal history background check, U.S.

status, and drug screening are required. 20-25 hours per week, with potential for more on trips and sports runs.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger and “S” endorsement.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
• Be of good moral character.
• Must possess sufficient physical strength to lift 50 pounds.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Must pass pre employment drug screen - random drug & alcohol screenings throughout the school year
• Must be an NJ resident.

Responsibilities

• Drive school bus in accordance with district routes and schedules.
• Transport students safely to and from school as assigned.
• Adhere to all traffic and school district safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with student safety and behavior management as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance checks.
• Ensure proper student pickup and drop-off procedures.
• Coordinate with transportation office for schedule changes and trips.
• Be available for class trips, sports runs, and other events as needed.

Pay:From $29.00 per hour

Job description:
