Lirio Resources Inc in Indiana is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to transport identified individuals on assigned routes in accordance with policy. You will screen passengers for communicable illness, maintain clean vehicles, and complete required paperwork while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires a valid Indiana driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and willingness to obtain CDL if possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications should be obtained.
• CDL certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and write for paperwork and communication.

• Keep the vehicle clean and mechanically safe; perform safety checks.

SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing safe transportation services to identified individuals on assigned routes during specified timeframes. Bus Drivers will ensure that all vehicles used are maintained and clean at the beginning and end of each shift. They will screen all passengers of the vehicle for communicable illness in accordance with Lirio policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to maintain fluid and thorough communication with both internal and external parties as well as maintain flexibility in their schedule to accommodate changes to routes as the result of weather, closure, cancellations, or other matters. All services are to be delivered in such a manner that meets all federal, state, local, and accrediting entity regulatory requirement as well as Lirio policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDrive bus/vehicle in a safe, courteous, and professional manner; adhering to all traffic laws.Be knowledgeable of al persons served on the route and adhere to their PCISP and other plans of care.Monitor individual behavior and report all incidents to proper department.Maintain the vehicle or bus in a cleanly and mechanically safe manner.Complete all appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.Perform safety inspections and/or bus evacuations upon request.Be aware of weather and road conditions in your area; report this information to Transportation SupervisorReport all mechanical problems to Transportation SupervisorKeep Transportation Supervisor informed of any changes, issues, or concerns.Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all passengers, their families, and/or guardians.Responsible for ensuring that all passengers comply with applicable laws and regulations.Operate hydraulic lifts to transport handicap individuals. Ensure that tie downs of all wheelchairs or moving objects are performed safely and correctly prior to each trip.Ensure the safety and well-being of all persons served.Look for ways to improve processes and efficiencies.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of one year driving experience preferred. Valid Indiana license required. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. CDL Certification preferred but not required.LANGUAGE AND SKILLSReading and writing skills as needed to complete proper paperwork. Good communication skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDSBe in adequate physical health to perform the job tasks required. Be free from communicable disease with a negative TB test or chest x-ray. Must be able to stand,walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May require lifting ability to assist with transfers or other activities related to individual. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
