Job summary

Parma Care Center Inc. is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to deliver safe transportation for residents to medical appointments, social outings, and other scheduled activities. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and compassionate service.

Responsibilities include operating a facility vehicle, assisting residents, keeping vehicles clean, and coordinating with staff to ensure punctual schedules. A strong safety mindset and patient demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 5 points (verified via BMV Driver Abstract).
• Clear criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• FBI background check (if applicable based on residency).
• Successful completion of a physician-conducted medical exam, including vision and physical capability assessments.
• Completion of a Passenger Assistance Course.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairs and offering physical support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and reach to secure mobility devices and assist passengers.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions while assisting residents.
