Job summary

Logmet LLC is seeking a Bus Driver to transport passengers on designated routes. Responsibilities include adhering to traffic regulations, conducting safety checks, and maintaining the vehicle. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a Class 'A' or 'B' CDL with a 'P' endorsement, and experience in driving. This position may require interacting with passengers and ensuring a safe travel experience.

Qualified applicants must also pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries and demonstrate good customer relations skills.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of four years' driving experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.
  • Class 'A' or Class 'B' CDL with a 'P' endorsement required.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents.
  • Performs pre-operation safety checklist according to safety guidelines before departure.
  • Service vehicle batteries as required.
  • Perform minor repairs such as tightening mirrors and screws, and changing vehicle light bulbs.
  • Operate car/bus wash as required and operate generator as needed.
  • May load and unload baggage or express items checked by passengers.
  • Train other personnel in bus/box truck operations.
  • Attend all Safety Meetings and/or Training classes as scheduled.
  • Clean up oil spills and keep the vehicle parking area clean.

Job description

The Bus Driver drives a bus to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents.
  • Performs pre-operation safety checklist according to safety guidelines before departure.
  • Service vehicle batteries as required.
  • Perform minor repairs such as tightening mirrors and screws, and changing vehicle light bulbs.
  • Operate car/bus wash as required.
  • Operate generator as required and jump‑start buses as required.
  • May load and unload baggage or express items checked by passengers.
  • May drive diesel or gas‑powered vehicles to transport passengers over established post and city routes.
  • Operate driver training and train other personnel in bus/box truck operations.
  • Complies with all installation and State rules and regulations and ensures that seatbelts are worn when operating any vehicle. Attend all Safety Meetings and/or Training classes as scheduled.
  • Clean up oil spills and keep the vehicle parking area clean of debris and oil.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment
