Job Description

Provides for the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of students.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.
• New employees must meet all health requirements and physically qualified to pass state school bus driver physical.
• A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment; ВСІІ/FBI.
• Meets qualifications defined in the current Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Pupil Transportation Operation & Safety Rules, and school board policy.
• Completion of the Ohio Pre-Service School Bus Driver
• Ability to drive automatic or standard shift vehicles.
• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a school bus "S" and "P" passenger endorsement and a satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment.
• Negative pre-employment and ongoing random drug tests results.
• Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
• Ability to anticipate and deal with stressful traffic and weather conditions.
• Demonstrates maturity and the ability to work with students and their families.
• Recertify every 6 years, including FBI check.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Complete minimum of 4 hours inservice annually.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
