Job summary

Atlantic County Special Services School District seeks a School Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential areas, and field trips. The role requires a valid NJ CDL with clean driving record and CPR/First Aid certification.

Candidates should be in good health, capable of assisting students with disabilities, and prepared to pass a background check and provide citizenship documentation. Experience with disabled pupils is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain valid New Jersey Bus Driver's License (CDL) with Class C and an excellent driving record.
• Must possess and maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification or obtain within 60 calendar days of employment.
• Be of good character and reputation.
• Be in good physical and mental health; capable of lifting, positioning and caring for students with disabilities.
• Be responsible, dependable, self-reliant, and display initiative.
• Must be able to operate all vehicles used in transportation of students.
• Be able to take direction and supervision.
• Experience with disabled pupils preferred.
• Sensitivity to the needs of the disabled and their families.
• Required Criminal History background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident status.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
