Hall County School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students to and from assigned schools, ensuring safe operation and proper behavior of passengers.

The role requires a high school diploma, CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, background clearance, physical exam, drug testing, and at least 18 years old with 2 years driving experience. Daily duties include pre/post trip inspections, keeping routes on schedule, and communicating with students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications

• Criminal background clearance is required.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.

Responsabilités

• Operate school bus in all types of weather conditions.
• Ensure bus is empty of students after each run and verify no students are onboard.
• Maintain orderly conduct of student passengers and report unsafe acts.
• Maintain route and schedule as planned.
• Maintain clean, neat appearance and confidentiality.
• Act professionally and ethically at all times.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Clean and service the vehicle, report needed repairs.
• Demonstrate ability to conduct Emergency Bus Evacuation procedures.
• Adhere to district policies and all laws and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Transport students to and from assigned school; maintain appropriate passenger behavior and safe operation of the assigned bus.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possesses or will obtain a valid CDL in either Class A or Class B with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements
• Criminal background clearance
• Pass annual physical exam by a licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy within 60 daysprior to the first day of school, in accordance with the approved examination (DE Form 0514) prescribed by the State Board of Education
• Submit to and pass drug and alcohol testing as prescribed in Federal, State and Local standards
• Minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The position requires continual sitting, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm movements. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. In case of emergency the employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vehicle fumes.
