A transportation company in Chicago seeks full-time diesel and bus mechanics. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and general maintenance on a fleet of buses. This position offers a sign-on bonus, flexible schedules, and additional training opportunities. Ideal candidates must have experience in diesel mechanics and hold a Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
Aries Charter Transportation is seeking full-time diesel and bus mechanics at our Chicago facility. We operate a fleet of diesel and gas-powered motor coach buses, school buses, transit buses, trolleys, mini buses, and vans.
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $1,000 for full-time employees. $500 available after first 90 days of employment. Additional $500 available after first 180 days of employment.
Mechanic must have at least 2 years of experience or technical training working on buses and diesel-powered vehicles.
Candidates must meet USDOT physical requirements and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
The mechanic/maintenance shop operates 3 shifts, 7 days a week. Schedules are flexible. Mechanics must be able to work independently. Additional training programs are available. This position is safety-sensitive.
Required tasks include preventive maintenance inspections, emergency and road failure repairs, and general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, brake, and accessory systems. Wheelchair lift experience is helpful. Mechanics must own basic hand tools.
