Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner on public roads and job sites.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with documentation in compliance with company and DOT guidelines.
• Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
• Properly follow all company policies and procedures for a safe working environment.
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
• Keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance at assigned times.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid current DOT Med Cert and/or able to secure a new DOT Med Cert card.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively; bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers with other duties as instructed.
• Must maintain a current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A or B driver license along with passenger endorsement.
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated in the handbook.

Work Environment

• Accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.

Physical Demands

• Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• May require sitting for extended periods of time.
• Able to climb in and out of trucks (3-4 steps).

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Must be able to work 40 plus hours a week, including 6 days a week, and some night work and weekends.
