Job Description
- Assist driver in assuring transportation occurs in accordance with district policy and procedure as well as local, state and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct safe and orderly loading and unloading of students.
- Maintain order and discipline on bus.
- Participate in all training pertaining to the job.
- Report all accidents immediately to the Transportation Supervisor or designee.
- Complete and submit student conduct/incident or other reports and documentation as required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Provide support and instruction to students in order to understand school bus safety rules.
- Monitor students throughout the transportation bus route.
- Secure students and position students within bus, assist with operation of lift, secure wheel chair with appropriate tie-downs, and secure individuals with appropriate harnesses, operate all adaptive equipment assigned to the students and bus.
- Assist the driver in keeping bus clean.
- Complete all training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
