Job summary

A local school district is seeking Bus Aides for the 2025/2026 school year to ensure the safety of students during transport. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with special needs children. Bus Aides will assist with securing students in safety restraint systems and may assist the driver as needed. Summary of Responsibilities

Ensures that the student is placed safely in appropriate child safety restraint system before transport to and from school. Rides with student to ensure their safety during transport; ability to support student with any special needs. May assist driver as needed.

Summary of Qualifications

HS diploma or GED, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, prior experience working with special needs children, which might include behavioral and/or emotional needs, helpful. Must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds. Must have the ability to interact well with students and staff.
