Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, is seeking full-time faculty at any rank to provide burn coverage with expertise in general plastic and/or trauma reconstruction. Appointees will participate in teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate or equivalent required/board eligible or certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery or general surgery.
• Illinois medical licensure or eligibility required.
• Fellowship in burn reconstruction or equivalent specialized training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide burn coverage and general plastic/trauma reconstruction care.
• Teach and supervise residents and medical students; contribute to scholarly activity.
• Engage in academic duties including research, quality improvement, and departmental service.
