Job summary

UW Health’s Burn ICU unit in Madison, WI seeks an experienced RN to join a Level One Trauma Center. You will provide specialized care for burn and wound patients, work on an acuity-adaptive 11-bed unit, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered team.

The role features 90% FTE with 8/12-hour evening/night shifts, weekend rotation and holiday coverage. Competitive differential pay enhances compensation and professional growth opportunities are strong at UW Health.

Qualifications

• Six months nursing experience or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program on unit/similar unit
• RN licensure in WI or compact state required
• CPR/BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timeframes

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to burn ICU patients in a Level One Trauma Center
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain acuity-based staffing ratios for safety and quality of care
• Support adult and pediatric burn and complex wound patients in critical care settings
