Job summary

Onvo is seeking a Burger King Team Member who greets customers quickly and courteously, delivering a fast, fun and friendly experience while maintaining a safe and clean restaurant environment. You will handle POS transactions, stock merchandise, assist new teammates, follow food safety standards, sanitation practices and company policies.

You’ll work with others to provide consistent high-quality service and respond to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Lifts up to 50 pounds with proper technique.
• Keeps stock faced up, clean and presentable.
• Applies FIFO when receiving or stocking products.
• Removes damaged/out-of-date stock and quarantines appropriately.
• Follows portion control to minimize loss.
• Controls store and contents to prevent loss.
• Secures premises at end of day and maintains cleanliness.
• Cleans areas per brand standards, including floors, walls, counters, and equipment.
• Cleans customer service area and restrooms.

Duties:

• Greets every customer in a quick and courteous manner.
• Provides a pleasant dining experience to all our customers and responds to customer inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Handles all customer complaints according to company policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains product knowledge and provides customers with product recommendations.
• Follows sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies and ordinances.
• Sustains consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
• Keeps professional image by maintaining proper uniform and appearance standards.
• Works effectively with others (individuals and departments) in a positive, supportive and cooperative manner.
• Helps other associates in their duties and assists new associates in learning their new job skills.
• Communicates any issues of concerns and ensures all internal matters are presented to GM in a timely manner.
• General knowledge of all point-of-sale equipment.
• Processes customer sales accurately and efficiently. Ensures cash drawer levels are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Receives and stocks all merchandise in accordance with company policy.
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds following proper lifting procedures.
• Ensures stock is faced up, clean and presentable at all times.
• Apply the FIFO (first in first out) system, when receiving or stocking any product.
• Ensures all damaged and/or out of date stock is removed, accurately recorded and placed in designated quarantine area.
• Follows portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize loss.
• Maintains full control of the store and its contents at all times using prevention techniques as per company to minimize loss (i.e. drive offs or retail theft etc).
• Follows company policies and procedures for securing the premises upon end of day closure.
• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
• Cleans in accordance with the brands specific sanitary standards including but not limited to: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning walls, counters, tables, kitchen and service equipment.
• Cleans the customer service area by removing trash, cleaning restrooms and the parking lot.
• Performs all duties in a safe and responsible manner to assure workers, customers, suppliers/contractors and the environment are not at risk.
• Complies with all company safety policies, procedures and instructions.
• Uses materials handling procedures and equipment provided to minimize contamination or injury.
• Reports to management any unsafe practice or condition and follows all safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Physically capable of standing for long hours.
